TI Alum/Advisor Zoran Poposki exhibits in China and Spain, finalist for the Global Art Awards in Dubai

This week video artworks by Transart alumnus/advisor Dr Zoran Poposki will be shown in exhibitions in China and Spain. 

In China, Dr Poposki's video and new media works will be shown in an international exhibition at the Xi'an Art Museum in China. Curated by Andrew Lin, the exhibition features works by 30 artists, including Robert Cahen, William Furlong, etc. Xi’an Art Museum is one of the largest contemporary art museums in China and attracts 800,000 visitors a year. 

In Spain, Dr Poposki's video will be screened at the Intermedia Video Art Festival in the Matadero Art Center in Madrid, as part of the DVD Project featuring video works by 200 artists from 20 countries. 

Furthermore, Dr Poposki is a Finalist in the Global Art Awards 2017, in the Painting Award category. The Global Art Awards are the international Awards for the Visual Arts. They were created to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of artists, galleries, and art professionals worldwide. The awards will be presented by a jury of global curators and collectors on 17 November 2017 at the Burj Khalifa, Armani Hotel in Dubai.

Dr. Zoran Poposki is an international award-winning transdisciplinary artist, educator, and researcher. Born in Macedonia, Poposki lives and works in Hong Kong. His works have been shown in more than 70 international exhibitions and festivals, including: ArtBasel Hong Kong, Biennial of Graphic Arts Ljubljana, Thyssen Bornamisza 21 Art Contemporary Vienna, Institute of Contemporary Arts London, Sergei Kuryokin Museum of Modern Art in St. Petersburg, National Gallery of Macedonia, Museum of Contemporary Art Skopje, etc.
