Luisa Greenfield's video installation, History Lessons By Comparison that she presented this summer at the Transart Residency will be part of Berlin Art Week and on display at Akademie der Künste from Sept. 14- Nov. 19, 2017.
Artist Mary Sherman and researcher Florian Grond have worked together over several years manifesting the conversation between painting and sound. The are joined by MIT Media Lab Tangible Bits director, Hiroshi Ishii to explore the relationship and connection of all our senses and which help us navigate and also find pleasure in our material world.
Six Transart students met in Berlin in 2012 and continued to meet monthly after graduation. Come out to support your Transartists Sunday October 22nd, from 2-7pm, at the opening reception for a site-specific attic installation by the Snorebarn Collective, titled Attitude of Openness.

The EPA Summit is cross-disciplinary gathering bringing together artists, thinkers, scientists and others in the fields of urban ecology, art, dance, movement and performance to explore the possibility of embodied research, and the value of urban weeds as collaborators, guides and mentors.

Artist Merete Røstad, whose sound sculpture Chamber is currently on view outside the Munch Museum, and curator Mary Jane Jacob, known for her site-specific, community-embedded projects, will offer examples from their own practices under the themes of Memorialization, Collaborationand Creative Chaos. The Q&A will be moderated by Natalie Hope O’Donnell, curator of Munchmuseet on the Move. The seminar will include the launch of the publication Merete Røstad, Chamber.
