Experience in this fieldI have been a professional artist for over 20 years. I work across media and have secured numerous grants, fellowships, and commissions to support my own work as well as collaborative work with others. I know the challenges and needs to think, risk, realize and inspire.
For the past 12 years I have also managed the philanthropy program at the Keith Haring Foundation, where I advise on, process, and oversee grant applications and grantee relations. Through this work I have developed a thorough knowledge of the do’s and don’ts in asking for support, and moreover believe in the transformative power of giving.
I teach, visiting countless universities including Virginia Commonwealth University, The Cooper Union, School of Visual Arts, Washington University, Pacific Northwest College of Art, Bauhaus Universität, among many others. I enjoy working with both professionals and students to secure the resources they need to realize a project, and in the process, help them to refine their goals and structure for the work.
